Audrie Lord

Audrie Clare Walker Lord, a kind and loving mother, wife, and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Born in Axis, Alabama, December 14, 1922, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Herman G. Lord Jr., and parents, Lamar Walker and Ann Marie Jeffrey Walker. Also predeceasing her were her son, Gary G. Lord, sisters Mary Shaffield and Gertrude Belew, brothers Edwin and Burt Walker. She was a longtime member of East Lake United Methodist Church. Audrie is survived by her children, Pamela L. Kontzen (Bob), and Stephen W. Lord (Carol) of Birmingham, AL, sister Carol W. Shavers of Sarasota, FL, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on, Monday July 20, from 1pm until 2pm. Services with Rev. Sally Allocca officiating at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
