Audria Malchus

Audria "Ducky" Malchus, age 82, of Trussville, AL passed away on January 18, 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Ducky was involved in many charities and social works: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Alabama Department of Youth Services-Chalkville Campus, her sorority Beta Sigma Phi - which she inspired to raise $10,000 for Children's Hospital in honor of her grandson, Brandy, Charter Member of La Sertoma, and Eastern Star. She retired after 20 years of service as Secretary/ Treasurer of Malchus Construction. After she retired Mr. and Mrs. Malchus moved to Sarasota, FL were they spent time between there and Aruba. She is preceded in death by her sister, Anne Groening Molketin; and grandson, Brandon Jo Malchus. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Robert "Bob" W. Malchus; children, Mr. Kenny Malchus (Sandy), and Mr. Randy Malchus (Laura); grandchildren, Laurie Malchus Douglas (Richard), Randall "J.R." Wynn Malchus, Jr. (Lynn); Cassie Malchus Thomson (Dave), Missy Malchus Lynam (Bradley), Brittney Carroll Malchus (Jake Dunham); great grandchildren, Amelia Claire Malchus and Campbell Elizabeth Thomson. Visitation will be held on January 21, 2011 from 5pm-7pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on January 22, 2011 at 10am at Jefferson Memorial Chapel.
