Arthur Silvey

Arthur M. Silvey, age 95, of Trussville, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Mr. Silvey was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Essie Silvey; brother, Vernon Silvey; sisters, June Silvey and Joy Jahnke; and son, Gary M. Silvey. Mr. Silvey is survived by his wife, Joy O. Silvey; daughters, Darlene Vann and Kay McCullars (David); grandchildren, Brook Jackson (Chris), Jason Lewallen, Ashley Haley (Justin) and David McCullars, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Emily and Blake Jackson, Austin Lewallen, Madison and Chase Haley. Mr. Silvey was a veteran of WWII. He was retired from the Postal Service. He was a former member of First Baptist Church Trussville, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a current member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent’s East Hospital and special caregiver James Harper for all their love and care given to our husband and father. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16, at 3pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
