Anne Stetson Clower, age 85, of Birmingham, passed away on April 27, 2015. She was an active member and helped found the Birmingham Community Deaf Church, which she dearly loved. She was the president of the Alabama Baptist Conference for the Deaf for 6 terms, and was voted Alabama Deaf Woman of the Year in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmi Clower; her parents, Maurice and Bernice Stetson; and her brother, Bill Stetson. Mrs. Clower is survived by her sons, Cam Clower (Jo Anne) and Andy Clower (Carla); and her grandchildren, Chandler, Jonathan, and Cristopher. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Bro. Cromwell Josey officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. A visitation will be held from 1pm until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Birmingham Community Deaf Church at 959 McAllister Drive, Calera, AL 35040. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
