Anna "Memaw" Moore Hayes passed away peacefully in her home on November 2, 2013. She was born in Chelsea, Alabama on January 30, 1926. A loving wife, mother and friend, she will be truly missed. She spent a lifetime sharing her love of Jesus through missions and ministry, especially to children. She influenced the lives of thousands of children and their families through leadership in Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School and working in childcare for more than 50 years in Central Park and Trussville. She is survived by her children, Bill (Mary Lynne), Shirley Lyle and Paul (Kathy); brother, Sterling Moore of Chelsea; sister, Cathryn Smith of Orlando. She leaves behind grandchildren, Amanda Hayes, Ashley Belew (Billy), Brian Lyle, Clint Lyle (Kate), Deanne Billingsley (Brandon), Amy Hayes and James Hayes; and two great-grandchildren, Blakely and Parker Lyle. She was preceded in death by her husband James, son-in-law Bill Lyle; six brothers and one sister. Visitaion will be from 12:30- 2:00 PM at Trussville First United Methodist Church followed by the service at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 4th with Reverend Mark Lacey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trussville FUMC Children's Ministry. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
