Ann Walker

Ann Walker, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Birmingham, Al. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, lovingly attended by family. She was the daughter of the late W. Fred Jones and Ruth M. Jones, of Springville, Al. Ann excepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her parents and grandson, Pate Walker. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years Lloyd Walker; son, Frank Walker; daughter, Karen Gooch (Sid); beloved sister, Mildred Odom; grandchildren, Daniel Gooch (Mollie), Beth Ann Smith (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Avery Smith, Charlie and Arliss Gooch. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers; Miriam, Amanda, Blanche, Nicki, and April for their devotion and excellent care. Thanks, also, to Kindred Hospice Services. A visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Al. from 1p-2p on Monday Sept. 10, 2018. Service will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
