Ann Custer

Floriece Ann Custer went home to be with her Lord, August 6, 2009. She was at home surrounded by her family. She loved and adored her family, theater arts, movies, and books. She was a deacon and elder of Grace Presbyterian Church. Many of her church activities included producing and directing children's plays, reading Bible stories and teaching children's and adult's Sunday School. She was an inspiration to her congregation, family, and friends. She was a Birmingham Police Officer, Water Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross, Troop Leader for Girl Scouts of America and Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America. She is survived by her adoring husband of 56 years, Richard P. Custer, son Mark Custer and daughter Robin Cloer, grandchildren Anna Custer, Caitlin Custer, and Jessie Garnett, brother Walton Hannon of Dallas TX, sister in law Marvella Custer. Services will be Tuesday Aug 11, at 10am at Grace Presbyterian Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
