Amy Miller

February 22, 1966 — September 23, 2021

Amy Renea Bishop was born on February 22, 1966, in Lebanon, Missouri, and was the third and youngest child of Gary “Mike” Bishop and Margaret A. (Nee) Frink.

Amy grew up in Springfield and Chillicothe where she graduated from high school in 1984. She was third in her class and was chosen by her classmates as the Homecoming Queen her senior year. Amy married David S. Miller on September 13, 1986, and to this union were born three children: Zachary, Madison and Austin, all of whom were by her side when she departed this world. Amy graduated with honors from Georgia State University, and worked as a Certified Public Accountant.

Amy became a Christian as a child, and had a deep and abiding faith which guided her all the days of her life. She was a sweet soul, and people were drawn to her by her kindness and generosity of spirit. Amy lived her life joyously. Her enthusiasm and laughter were infectious to all who knew her. Amy was very proud of her husband, deeply loved her children, and delighted in her granddaughter.

Although, Amy did not live nearly as long as her family and friends would have wished, those who loved her take great comfort in knowing that Amy knew very well how richly she had been blessed. Her memory will long be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Amy is survived by her devoted husband David; her loving children Zachary (Julie), Madison and Austin; and her cherished granddaughter, Hallie Miller; her mother, Margaret A. Vance and husband Larry, two brothers, Gary Bishop and wife, Jennie, and William Bishop; her mother-in-law, Margee Miller, brother-in-law, Mark Miller and wife, Ann; sister-in-law, Jan Patterson and husband, Chris; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends beyond count. Amy was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Edwin M. Frink, Margaret G. Frink, William O. Bishop, Jr. and Juanita L. Bishop; her father, Mike Bishop, and by her father-in-law, Walt Miller.
