Alvin Glenn King, joined his Lord on the afternoon of March 25, 2012 at the age of 82. He is now at peace and fully reborn in mind, body and spirit. He was retired from Alabama Power where he worked for 42 years. He was a faithful member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Center Point. He was born on July 2, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers; 3 sisters; grandson, Joseph; and son, Donnie Glenn King. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Alldrege King; daughters, Deborah (Charles) Dagnan, Dianna (Scott) Hunter; daughter-in-law, Alexis King; sister, Mary Nell Waldrop; grandchildren, Jason (Brandi) Nairmore, Joshua Nairmore, Tiffany (Mike) McElvy, Tara (Jason) Russell, and Kaleb Reeves; and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Alvin was a loving and devoted husband, daddy and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and praying. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 12:00pm with visitation from 10am-12pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
