Alma Potts

Alma Rae Davis Potts, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday Dec 15, 2011. Alma was born to Willard and Flora Davis in White Plains, Alabama. She lived most of her life in the Birmingham area where she raised her two sons and worshiped at area Baptist churches. Alma had recently moved to Dallas, Texas to live closer to her son James Stanley Potts and his family. She is preceded in death by her husband James Potts and son Gregory Alan Potts as well as her parents and two brothers Rev. W.W. Davis and Marlon Davis, sisters Virginia Reep and Bernice Winfrey. Alma is survived by her son James Stanley Potts and wife Ann, grandchildren Shelley Taylor (John) and Alan Potts( Monika) and four great grandchildren, Emily and Jack Taylor and Riley and Ryan Potts all of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by two sisters, Johnnie Farmer of Trussville and Betty Vann of Birmingham and brother Ed Davis of Palmerdale. Funeral Services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Gadsden Highway in Trussville on Tuesday Dec. 20th, 2011. Visitation will be 9AM-11AM with funeral services at 11AM.
