Alice Elizabeth McCallister, of Birmingham, Alabama, has made it HOME on June 3, 2020 at the age of 92. Formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Alice moved to Birmingham to be closer to family. Preceded in death by her parents, Michael Pazur and Mary Balint, 8 brothers and sisters, and her precious son, Wayne. Survived by her two daughters, Susan Brown (Dennis) of Florida and Kathleen Marino (Tony) of Birmingham; her loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Doug, Samuel, Janina, Anthony, and Michael. She was also blessed to know and love several great-grandchildren. Full of life, she fought hard for her happiness. After raising her family, she moved to Texas and became a registered nurse. That served her well in the nursing home where she lived for many years, but her claim to fame was winning many medals for ballroom dancing. Also having a love for writing, she wrote a book of her life. She was a member of Parkway Christian Fellowship where she turned her worship to beautiful singing in the choir. She sang till she passed away. She loved music, dancing, and singing but what made her most joyful were her grandchildren. Their laughter - she couldn't have been more proud of them. Alice had a great lust for life and a wonderful silly sense of humor. We are certain that she was met by her 8 brothers and sisters and her precious son Wayne. oh and we also know that she is whole, beautiful --- and yes she is dancing again! Graveside celebration of life will be held on June 6, 2020 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
