Alberta Wadsworth

Mary Alberta Wadsworth, 67, received her heavenly healing on January 9th, 2023, with loved ones by her side.

Alberta was born and raised in Gardendale, AL and lived there until she met and married her husband, Gary.  They moved to Pinson, Alabama where they resided for the next 48 years.

Alberta worked at Liberty National in the 1970’s and 80’s where she met her husband, Gary.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Pinson, where she worked for many years.  Throughout her years she was heavily involved in many areas of ministry for the church.   She finished her career at Lakeside Baptist Church, where she retired in 2018.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary Wadsworth; Son, Derrick Wadsworth (Erin); Daughter, Jennifer Neal (JR); Grandchildren, Colin Wadsworth, Noah Touchton, Brenan Touchton, Corban Neal, Mary Neal, Davis Wadsworth and Lily Neal; Sisters, Rachel Byrd (Tommy) and Regina Graham (Jeff), and countless nieces and nephews.

She is proceded in death by her parents Calvin Johnson and Magdalene Johnson.

A celebration of Alberta’s life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Pinson. Visitation will take place an hour prior to services. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East following the services.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church Pinson in her memory.
