Adam Tyler Reach, 32, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, November 25th. Adam, the son of Kim and Gary Reach, was born on December 20th, 1981. Adam was full of life, eager, strong-willed, and quite simply... hilarious. His family recalls an Easter when, a young Adam chased his little sister, Anna, tirelessly around their back yard, determined to steal the eggs from her Easter basket. She ran and ran but he kept his eye on the prize, delicious candy filled eggs. This was Adam, a boy, who loved a chase, who loved a game and who loved to win. This competitive nature transpired into a passion for sports. Adam loved and excelled in baseball, where he was a star pitcher. He lived and breathed Alabama football, NBA basketball and high school football, always pulling for his hometown team, the Leeds Greenwave. There is no question of the unwavering, sweet and genuine love Adam had for his family. He loved holidays and family gatherings and adored his number one fan, his Nana, his parents, his grandparents, his sister, cousins, aunts and uncles. Each one held a deep and special place in his larger-than-life heart. His family doesn't have to wonder if they were loved by their blond haired, charismatic boy; he cherished them all. Adam's charming personality quickly drew people in. In fact, his family can attest that he truly never encountered an enemy. He wasn't quick to judge, made friends instantly and was full of energy, enthusiasm and humor. It was these qualities that made him a favorite among his mentors and friends at The Foundry, where he gave his heart to God. Adam is survived by his parents, Kim and Gary Reach, his sister Anna Reach, his grandparents, Ann Armstrong and Ellis and Lynn Hill, , his brother, Zack Elkins, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ginger Reach. Adam's family is finding solace in knowing that their boy is at peace in heaven, where he's singing among angels and has finally been set free. A visitation has been scheduled for November, 29th from 10:30AM to 12:00PM with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center in Bessemer, Alabama. "Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free." Psalm 118:5
