William Holmes

William Gerald Holmes (Jerry), 82, passed away on November 3rd, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Holmes and Gertrude Holmes, and his sisters Ann Walker and Nettye McKinney. He is survived by his wife of 55 Years, Margaret H. Holmes, Daughter Laurie Holmes Goodwin (Randy) of Trussville, Son Russ Holmes (Cathy) of Little Rock, AR and grandchildren Lindsey LeMaster, Sarah Holmes and Tyler Holmes, and one great-grandson, Charlie Decker. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, 1954. He served in the Alabama Air National Guard and worked for HUD and retired in 1989. He was also an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Services will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Trussville on Monday, November 6th at 12 Noon and family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
