Walter Wingard

Walter Mack Wingard born October 8th 1934 went to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 25th 2013. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and devoted friend to many. Walter was a compassionate man that led by example. He worked for Alabama By-Products for 40 years and served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol(Owen)Wingard, parents, Harlan Dewey Wingard and Lula Mae Wingard, and brothers Lamar Wingard and John Wingard. Survived by his children Brian Wingard(Elaine), Mitzi Wingard, son in law, Joe Holliday, Steve Wingard, Brad Wingard(Melissa), grandchildren, Phillip Wood, Lindsey Wingard Watson (Jeremy), Janna Holliday, Kara Wingard, Cole Wingard, Starlyn Wingard and Kaelyn Wingard; 7 great grandchildren, special friends Brett Stewart, Ken Rector, siblings Billie Wingard, Ina Norton. Services will be on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
