Tamako Lawson

Tamako "Judy" Lawson, age 76, of Birmingham, went to meet her Lord and Savior after a long bout with Leukemia on September 22, 2010. She was not only a mother but a dear friend. She was a charter member of Parkway Christian Fellowship. Judy was instrumental with her husband Leonard in building 3 churches in the Birmingham area. She was retired from Parkway Christian Academy as Lunchroom Manager with 12 years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Leonard E. Lawson and grandson Ronald Dale Lawson. She is survived by her children William "Gene Lawson, Judy (Michael) Lewis, Bobby Dale (Yonna) Lawson, Marlon "Steve" (Marsha) Lawson, sister in law Betty Sue (Carlos) Melvin, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be on Saturday Sept 25, at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Friday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
