Steven Patterson

Steven Winfred Patterson, age 61 of Birmingham, AL passed away on September 11, 2017. He was a member of the Church of the Highlands. He was a former member of the Claims Adjuster Association. He loved Auburn University Athletics and being with his family. He enjoyed playing golf with his son and was involved with his daughter's many different activities and his son as well. He passed down his strong work ethic to his children. He graduated from Auburn University in Montgomery. He worked many years with St. Paul/Travelers Insurance. After retirement he worked as an independent claims adjuster with C.J. Hester Insurance Co. He developed a lot of friends through his work. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Patterson; daughter, Brooke Olinger (Jason); son, Patrick Patterson; sisters, Patricia Compton (John) and Paula Metts (Frank); grandson, Bennett Olinger and twin boys on the way. Services will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Rev. David Russell will be officiating over the services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
