Raymond Lockhart was born on May 11, 1930 to Fred and Lillian Lockhart. Raymond was a mason and member of the Eastern Star. He was a believer in Christ and blessed many through his talent of music. He not only loved music, but also enjoyed writing his own music. He was skilled at playing various instruments. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lula Belle and their beloved children, Lula Mae Griffin, Willie Raymond Lockhart, Jr., Larry Wayne Lockhart (Phyllis) and Rhonda Rhudy (Billy); his siblings, Jemina Jolly, Kate Allinder (Newton) and James Lockhart (Ruth); seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. A visitation will be held for friends and family at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, March 30th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with burial held immediately after in Jefferson Memorial's adjoining cemetery. Brother Kelley Dale Jolly of United Full Gospel Fellowship Church will preside over the services.
