Peggy Gibson

Peggy Joyce Gibson of Trussville, AL., died peacefully on May 1, 2010 after a courageous battle against melanoma. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Taylor Gibson, sisters Bettie Parker and Linda Parker, daughter Gail (Dale) Gibson, son Don (Danielle) Gibson, and grandchildren Chris Gibson, Kala Gibson, Wyatt Gibson, Graham Gibson, and Owen Gibson. Joy lived most of her years in Birmingham, AL. and was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a stay at home mom and later retired from UAB's Department of Infectious Disease where she enjoyed many years of service. A faithful member of South Roebuck Baptist Church, the family requests any gifts be donated to South Roebuck Baptist in lieu of flowers. Services will be on Tuesday May 4 at 12pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Monday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
