"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Patricia Louise Bramel McKay left her earthly home on April 20, 2020 and rose up into heaven to be reunited with her forever husband, Bill. “And what a day of rejoicing that will be!” She leaves behind her two sons, Patrick (Jeanie) and Paul (Brenda), daughter-in-law, Sherry McKay, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. She also leaves her precious sister, Gail Goolsby and family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. While Pat’s life on earth did include her working for several insurance companies and banks, her biggest accomplishment was the rearing of her family and doing the work of her Lord and Savior. She was married to Bill for over 70 years, and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Roebuck Plaza for over 50 years. Her Family and her Faith will forever be her legacy. The family would like to thank all of Pat’s caregivers over the past three years, especially the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice and Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Y’all are true heroes and saints! Due to the Covid-19 regulations, there will only be a graveside service for the immediate family on April 25, 2020 at 11am. The service will be streamed on her Facebook page for all her friends and family.
