Mary Schaaphok

SCHAAPHOK, JOAN MOTE Age 76, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Point and a loyal, avid fan of Alabama football! She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Schaaphok; and daughter, Lisa Vaughn. She is survived by one daughter, Carla Schaaphok, one son, Michael Schaaphok, his three children, and two grandchildren, and her three grandsons, Brandon, Kevin, and Jason Vaughn, whom she was raising. Visitation will be Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11 to 12 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, immediately followed by the funeral service and internment. In lieu of flowers the family kindly request memorial contributions be made to the Joan Schaaphok Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo, a scholarship fund for her grandsons.
