Lila Sutherland

Mrs. Lila Farmer Sutherland, 85, of Trussville passed away on May 19, 2017. Lila was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Waldo "George" Sutherland, brothers, Cecil and Clifton Farmer, sister, Elsie Fuqua Marshall, and parents, Pinkney and Cora Farmer. She is survived by her son, Dwight Sutherland (Paula), daughter, Ann Underwood (Charles), grandchild, Erickson Poe (Jenny), two great-grandchildren, Natalee and Isaiah Poe, brother, Junior Farmer, sisters, Hazel Castellani (Ed), Mary Shedd, and Lois Ellington, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00am from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow with Reverend Wendell Dodd officiating.
