Kathryn Earle

Kathryn Frances O'Rourke Earle, 97, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017. Her daughter, Diane, along with her son-in-law, Grady were at her bedside in their home where she has lived for the last 41 years. In the days just prior to her passing, she was surrounded by loved ones and friends. Kathryn, as many knew as Granny, was a beloved woman. She was a Navy veteran, having served during the WWII. She was also a Godly woman and faithful to the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucy Craddock O'Rourke; her brothers, Johnny O'Rourke, Bernard O'Rourke, Dennis O'Rourke, Thomas O'Rourke, Patrick O'Rourke; her sisters, Bernice O'Rourke, Ellen O'Rourke McAllister, Genieve O'Rourke White, Elizabeth O'Rourke Carroll; and a special niece Ann McAllister Nagle Parsons. She is survived by her children, James M. Earle, Jr. (Delores), Murray D. Earle, Michael F. Earle (Vanessa), and Diane J. Payne (Grady); her grandchildren, Bryan K. Payne (Lisa), Kathy Payne Langley (Terri), Michelle Earle, Browyn Presley (Mark), Chad Earle (Ashley), Frances Eskridge (John); her great-grandchildren, Emma Langley, Kara Langley, Autumn Jowers, Maddie Earle, Grace Earle, Drew Earle, Chase Payne, Zach Payne, Kayla Eskridge, Emily Eskridge, and Jason Brigman. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes from 9-11 am, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11am.
