Karl Burton

Karl Burton of Pinson went to be with his Lord on the 7th day on August 2012, at the age of 77 after an 8 month battle with Leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Madeline; his daughter, Debra Armstrong (Robert); son, Kenneth Burton (Lisa); daughter, Deann Brasher (Brian), daughter, Kara Burton (Alex); 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Theodore Burton. Karl was retired from Jefferson County Roads and Transportation Department. He also served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was pre-deceased by his father, Theodore; mother, Gladys; sisters, Mary Ann Goldsmith, Helen May McCann, and Geneva McQueen. Services will be held on Friday August 10, 2012 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to service time at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
