Howard Calton

Howard Travis Calton, age 80, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 20, 2010. Howard Travis serviced in the U.S. Navy for 2 years. He was employed by the Birmingham Police Department for 33 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Annie M and William C. Calton, Sr.; two brothers, William C., Jr. and Lee Thomas Calton. Howard is survived by his wife, Lola C. Calton; nephews, Lee Calton of Birmingham, Mike Calton of Opelika, and Thomas Calton of Tampa, FL; niece, Patsy A. Brown of Maudlin, SC; with several great nieces and nephews. Services will be held on June 23, 2010 at 12:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Dr. Charles E. Baker and Dr. Gary Fisher officiating. Serving as pallbearers are, Walter Fairchild, Clayton Segers, Hobert Bevis, Richard Cook, Thomas Stanley and Lee Calton.
