Francis Jenkins

Francis Marion Jenkins "Red", age 90, of Pinson, AL passed away July 3, 2010. He was retired from Swift and Company. He was a World War II US Army Air Corps Veteran who was inducted in 1941 and served as a Technical Sergeant and Flight Chief with the 26th Fighter Command in the Panama Canal Zone and later with Squadron B, 611th AAF Base Unit. He was a member of the VFW. Services will be Tuesday July 6, at 2pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Nancy Jenkins, daughters Nancy Angeline Croft (Skip) of Argyle, TX, Elizabeth Holly Henson (Tom) of Carrollton, TX, Marion Christine Leamon (Danny) of Pinson, AL and Laura Jane Jenkins 0f Birmingham, AL, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Comfort Care Hospice in Pelham, AL, 205-663-6887. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
