Douglas Whitson

Douglas M. Whitson, age 68, of Trussville, passed away September 5, 2010. He was a member of Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the FAA. He was also an instructor at Jefferson State Community College. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Kate Whitson and his brothers, Niles, Earl and Junior. Services will be on Friday, Sept 10, at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Father Bill Lucas officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Thursday. He is survived by his wife Mary Vines Whitson, daughter Melissa (Chris) Rogers, sons Douglas (Jamie) Whitson II, David Whitson and his fianceI� Ashley, sisters Frances Howard, Elizabeth Garvey, brother Gene Whitson, grandchildren Zachary, Lauren and Nicholas.
