Douglas Turner

Douglas Riley Turner, age 71 of Birmingham, AL passed away on January 19, 2014. He helped start the Dixie Girls Softball, where he is a member of the Hall of Fame. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Erika Turner; daughters, Pebbles Miett (Robert) and Danielle Turner (Chris); brothers, Clyde Turner, Bill Turner, and Monford "M.P." Turner; grandchildren, Haley Miett, Austin Miett, Zackary Miller, Colby Miller, Chase Miller, and Catilyn Miller. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Rev. Larry Turner will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alacare Hospice.
