Doris Gill

Doris L. Gill, age 83 of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at UAB Hospital. She was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her parents, James Aubrey and Flora E. Ferguson and a son, James Edward Gill. She is survived by her spouse of 66 years, Dewey E."Ed" Gill; her daughter, Lisa Casey (Chris); her grandchildren, Jennifer Lambert (Nick), Melissa Callander, Lindy Rich (Travis), Kelly Winford (Whit) and Cooper Casey; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Frances Lippe; and brothers, Leon Ferguson (Joan) and Bobby Ferguson (Musa). Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chris Crain officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
