Doris Edwards

Doris J. Edwards, age 76, of Alabaster, AL, passed away on July 7, 2011. She was a devout Christian and a member of Hillside Baptist Church. She graduated from Carbon Hill High School and retired from South Central Bell. She was a proud Navy wife and was preceded in death by her husband, Chief Petty Officer John Henry Edwards; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Edwards. She is survived by her sons, John Edwards (Coni), Henry Steven Edwards (Billie Sue), Terry Edwards (Mary); sister, Gaynell Hagood; brother, Willard Randolph; grandchildren, Lee-Michael Edwards, Amber Elaine Edwards, Brian Patrick Edwards, Mollie Edwards, Melanie Edwards, Isaac Wayne Edwards, Terry Edwards, Jr., Abbie Gail Edwards, Alex Edwards, and Valerie Edwards. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 10, 2011, from 5 to 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Monday at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
