Bobby Cloud

Bobby Leroy Cloud passed away on September 10, 2012. Bob was born and raised in Avondale and attended Woodlawn High School (Class of 1953). He was a natural athlete and gifted singer. Bob loved Alabama football and led the initiative for the U.S. Postal Service to issue the commemorative Bear Bryant stamp in 1997. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, George Thomas Cloud and Annie McNatt Cloud, and parents George Leroy Cloud and Naomi Robinson Cloud. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Doris Cloud, who cared for him devotedly through his long illness; daughters Kelly Cloud and Kristie Cloud McCullough and their mother, Bobbie Cloud; granddaughter Sarah Trammell McCullough; sisters Betty Gardner and Patricia McCullough, brother Royce Cloud, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice Services of Alabama, Chaplain Stan Mills, and the Balm of Gilead unit at Cooper Green Mercy Hospital for their caring support. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept 13 at 3pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 2pm until 3pm Thursday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
