Bernice Odell

Bernice Odell, age 96, of Birmingham, originally from Weogufka, AL, passed away December 17, 2012. She was retired from Birmingham Trust National Bank after 28 years. Her last position was supervising teller over business accounts. Mrs. Odell was also a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW of the US and a member of post 43 (East Lake) of the American Legion. She was a member of the 77th Street Church of Christ for 40 years, and a member of Sun Valley Church of Christ for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lyman P. Odell; her sisters, Pauline Dosier and Agnes Wright; her brothers, T.A. Dosier and Edgar Dosier; and her parents, Curtis Dosier and Lucy Mooney Dosier. She is survived by her son, Garland "Wayne" Odell (Linda) of Trussville, AL; grandchildren, David W. Odell of St. Louis and Tracy Odell Rick of Cary, NC; 6 great-grandchildren; and cousins, O.J. Mooney and Rebecca Machen. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Lloyd Barker officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
