Berford Brown

Berford O. Brown, age 81 of Trussville, AL passed away on February 21, 2017. He was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. He also served as a Deacon for over 60 years for several different Baptist churches in the area. He founded Trussville Motors in 1962. He was a member of the Alabama Independent Auto Dealers Association and the National Independent Auto Dealers Association. He received the National Quality Dealer award in 1981 for the year. He was a Mason. He was on the original Board of Directors for Cahaba Bank and Trust in Trussville, now known as First Commercial Bank. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sara Brown; children, Keith Brown (Christie), Donnie Brown (Debra), Terry Brown and Alicia Simmons; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12 PM in the chapel and burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deerfoot Baptist Church.
